Pennsylvania Elder Law Attorney with Martindale Hubbell's Highest Lawyer Ratings

Elder law attorney Robert C. Gerhard, III has been recognized by Martindale Hubbell with its highest ratings for ethical standards and legal ability. Generations of lawyers have relied on Martindale-Hubbell’s peer review system to obtain trusted information concerning members the legal profession. When making referrals, lawyers need to have confidence in the individual under consideration. By reviewing the ratings, they can select counsel with superior ethics, as well as the desired level of professional experience.

Elder law is a niche practice, and Mr. Gerhard relies on lawyer-to-lawyer referrals for a good portion of his work. In fact, many members of the local bar have retained Mr. Gerhard’s services for their own parents or recommended his services to close friends. Word-of-mouth referrals are important, so Mr. Gerhard works very hard to maintain a positive reputation in the legal community.

The Martindale-Hubbell Ratings system is based on the confidential opinions of members of the Bar and the Judiciary, including both those who are rated and those who are not. In July 2000 Altman Weil Inc. completed a mail survey of corporate law departments and law firms to determine usage patterns of the Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory. According to that survey, 91% of corporate law departments use Martindale-Hubbell when evaluating and selecting outside counsel. Martindale-Hubbell representatives conduct personal interviews to discuss lawyers under review with other members of the Bar. A compilation of these opinions from various sources is necessary to form a consensus. Mr. Gerhard sincerely appreciates the recognition and will continue to strive for excellence.
